Crakanthorp Reunion
7pm – Dinner at Mecca Bah Restaurant, 25-29 Manuka Terrace, Flinders Way, Manuka (above Coles Supermarket)
Given the size of our group, we’ll need to order in advance. We recommend the banquet for adults. Menu online at http://meccabah.net/canberra/
Only one bill per table so make sure you have cash to pay with on the night.
10am – BBQ Brunch at Weston Park (across road from miniature railway), Weston Park Rd, Yarralumla (setting up from 9.30am)
We’ll provide the following food and drink (to help cover food costs donations of under $5/head are welcome – pay less if you eat less etc):
Bacon and egg rolls
Sausage and onion sandwiches (plus sauce of course)
Orange juice
Water
BYO anything else you want to eat/drink (happy to cook it taking our own bbq)
Café 200m away at the Western Creek Miniature Railway that serves coffee/tea etc. (Can’t vouch for the quality – never tried it.)
If you can provide a thermos of hot water we will have teabags, coffee etc. to go with it.
Afternoon
– Your choice. We
recommend people break into small groups to do whatever interests
them. Suggestions:
For
those with kids:
Questacon
(www.questacon.edu.au)

Floriade (includes Reptile display and petting yard) (www.floriadeaustralia.com)

Spring 2013 Handmade Market (www.handmadecanberra.com.au)
The Wig and Pen (Canberra House Arcade, Alinga St, Canberra City) is a great pub that brews its own beers. See winery tour note below as well.

Optional winery tour: Murrumbateman Moving Feast
For those who are keen to check out the Canberra Region Wineries, we recommend the Murrumbateman Moving Feast which runs all weekend. Participating wineries and venues dotted throughout Murrumbateman will provide fine food matched with their nationally and internationally recognised wines. See www.makersofmurrumbateman.org.au/moving-feast.aspx for more information, including details of the bus service from Canberra City to the wineries.
